Delivering premium visual unity
Eppi is a premium jewelry store established in 2011 that combines traditional craftsmanship with modern technology. Despite their success, Eppi faced challenges with their e-commerce platform. The outdated design didn’t align with their prestigious brand, suffered from poor mobile optimization, and resulted in low conversion rates and performance issues. Furthermore Eppi’s current design didn’t sufficiently reflect their brand identity. With all that information we were ready to to take premium Eppi’s brand on a visual facelift.

What lead decisions lead to the final design?
Creation process
Initial Revitalisation
We have started by refreshing color schemes, typography, integrating 3D elements, and setting a new photographic style to enhance product appeal and align their online presence with their high-end brand image. This was all done with emphasis on internal content creators, so that they will be able to take the torch and continue with the new Eppi elements. As an example we can mention the 3D animation of a ring sliding into the box, where the product can be easily switched for a different model without breaking the animation.

Pinpointing Pain Points
Preceding the work on the web layout we had done our homework thoroughly. We conducted UX analysis to identify where should we make the changes. For that we utilized tools like clarity and good old GA4’s.
We have followed our prep work with mobile-first wireframes and prototyping. The functional prototype had been made with client in mind to present what the functionality will look like for the customer. This step in the process was ended by handing off the coding to the client which is something we don’t see that often but where have really good understanding of what are the requirements to make developers job easy and enjoyable.

Diamond configurator
Based on good client’s understanding we were on the same page with the additional functions for the e-commerce store. We have designed solution for a ring configurator that further underlines the feel for end customer’s needs.

Realistic 3D
3D was a big part of this project. There were two scenes that went through 3D modeling starting with the priority hero section where we created visually appealing presentation for the product. We have also modeled the animation for the custom jewelry section where we outlined the process from the blueprint to the closed box.

Vector Illustrations
To further support brand identity we have created new icons for USP’s and navigation. Creating custom illustration started by sketching ideas in Procreate followed by finalizing the final outputs in Illustrator with details like reflections and colors.

We are proud that besides the design facelift itself we were able to bring additional value to the project. By doing smart design it is possible for the client to work with website elements internally and thus ensuring cost savings and still adhere to the brand identity. With precise UX analysis we were able to make home page cleaner, letting go of unnecessary elements and making navigation more enjoyable will definitely leave customer happy.
