Turning complex AI-powered fertility technology into a usable product
CATI.io is an AI-powered platform designed to support embryo evaluation and communication throughout fertility treatment. The product needed to translate highly specialized medical data and AI-assisted insights into two very different experiences: a detailed workspace for fertility professionals and a clear, reassuring mobile experience for people following their treatment. We partnered with CATI.io across UX, UI, motion and frontend to turn that complexity into a connected digital product that is easier to understand and navigate.

Designing around two very different user journeys
The platform connects several stages, user roles and types of information within one product ecosystem. We mapped the key flows before moving into interface design, defining how users move between screens, actions and information. This gave both the professional and client-facing experiences a clear underlying structure — reducing complexity at the system level rather than trying to solve it screen by screen.

Mobile Experience
Making the treatment journey easier to follow
For people undergoing fertility treatment, the challenge was not data density but understanding what was happening and when. We designed the mobile experience around an interactive timeline that makes treatment progress easier to follow, supported by notifications and direct communication with the medical team. Complex clinical processes are translated into a more approachable experience without removing the information users need.

Making AI-assisted decisions easier to navigate
Fertility professionals work with a dense layer of medical information, including embryo development data and AI-assisted assessment. We designed the desktop experience around fast access to relevant updates, clear comparison and an organized treatment timeline. The interface gives complex data and AI-generated insights a stronger hierarchy, helping specialists understand what matters while keeping them in control of the final interpretation.

Visual system
Creating a visual language for specialized medical concepts
The product required us to communicate concepts rarely found in conventional interface design — from human eggs and embryos to different stages of development. We created a custom icon and illustration system that makes these states easier to recognize across the product. Beyond giving CATI.io a distinctive visual language, the system helps complex medical information remain consistent and understandable across different screens and user journeys.
